Darius Robinson is a defensive end from Missouri and is one of the players projected to fall to 29. Robinson is a player who is coming off a season with 43 tackles 8.5 sacks 1FF 42 QB pressures 27 QB hurries and 6 QB hits. Robinson is the Lions culture personified. He shows grit, strength, effort, and versatility, along with a tough mentality and to boot he is a Lions fan.
Robinson is 6'5 285 pounds and according to Robinson he even played over 300 pounds to play DT before the 2023 season. This is not only an example of effort but also both love for the game and versatility. Robinson has played at both DE and DT his entire career. He is pretty athletic to boot. Robinson fits the bill of what the Lions have drafted for at DE. The Lions have drafted two DEs. Aidan Hutchinson in the first and Josh Paschal in the 2nd. The thing both players share is they are versatile, good against the run, and are big and strong with gritty mindsets to boot. Robinson also played tough competition playing in the SEC. He played Ohio State, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, and Kentucky. In all of those games he at least a half-sack! In total, he had 7.5 sacks from those games! Robinson has thrived and the Lions should totally draft him and have him and Marcus Davenport compete for the starting role.
I do want to know this is just a "why." not my actual prediction nor is Robinson my only choice at 29.
